Just a few days ago, US Weekly reported that the actor alternated good and bad moments, but with the passing of the days, the hardest moments have come much more often than those of happiness with his father and husband.
Yet despite the bad news, some good news emerged. His wife, Emma Heming, left a loving message for her husband on his birthday but uploading a photo of the pair looking very happy whilst they were on vacation.
She captioned the upload onto Instagram, owned by Meta, “16 years with this special man. My love and adoration for him only grows.”
His post has been filled with comments of support for the family from fans who remember his iconic performances in “Die Hard”, “Moonlighting”, “Armageddon” and “The Sixth Sense”.
How is Willis’ health?
The actor continues to manage his health at his home in California, after the doctors warned the family that he must be cared for 24 hours a day. The whole family handles distributing the tasks, but the one who spends the most time with the actor is Heming, his wife of 14 years.
She is the one who usually informs her daughters, who live outside California, of the progress of the disease.
Sadly, the Willis family is no longer confident of a full recovery of their father’s mental abilities and says, according to US Weekly, that they have come a long way since the first diagnosis of his illness.
The actor’s communication, speech and writing may have been affected, as these are some of the cognitive functions that are lost with aphasia.
