Nicolas Cage Is the Man of Everyone’s Dreams in Kooky Trailer for ‘Dream Scenario’ — Watch

The new comedy from A24, costarring Julianne Nicholson, Michael Cera, Tim Meadows, Dylan Gelula and Dylan Baker, is in theaters nationwide on Nov. 22

Nicolas Cage is grappling with a whole new side of fame in Dream Scenario.

A24 released the trailer for the company’s upcoming surreal comedy on Tuesday, introducing Cage’s lead character Paul Matthews, a college professor and “hapless family man” who “finds his life turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams.”

“But when his nighttime appearances take a nightmarish turn, Paul is forced to navigate his newfound stardom,” the official synopsis adds.

Set to a fitting background track of The Cranberries‘ classic song “Dreams,” the trailer begins with Paul learning he has been making seemingly random appearances in acquaintances’ dreams.

At the movie’s world premiere, Cage told PEOPLE which recurring figure he looks forward to seeing in his own dreams: his late dad, August Coppola.

“I always like it when my father shows up,” he said at the event on Sept. 9. “I haven’t seen him in person since he passed on.”

“So when he shows up, that’s always a good thing,” Cage added.

Dream Scenario is in select theaters on Nov. 10, before a wide release on Nov. 22.
