Madonna’s family give heartbreaking update as star is rushed to ICU: ‘Everyone believed we may lose her’
Madonna, a singer, has had a successful career for many years.
The singer was currently getting ready to go on a “Greatest Hits” tour where she would be playing songs from the previous four decades.
The musician was however admitted to the hospital due to an unexpected circumstance. Read on to discover more.
The legendary singer Madonna had been scheduled to start her Celebration Tour the following month, but it has now been postponed because of a severe deterioration in her health. Guy Oseary, the singer’s manager, explained what had transpired in the past few days in a statement.
The musician was reportedly discovered unresponsive on Saturday in New York and taken to the hospital with a dangerous bacterial illness. Oseary wrote, “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care.”
The 64-year-old performer “is expected to make a full recovery,” he said. However, it appears that this was not the case as a family of the singer claimed in an interview that “For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst.”
They also mentioned the family’s worst-case scenario: losing Madonna. That is why it has been kept a secret since Saturday, the relative said. Everyone anticipated that we might lose her, and that has proven to be the case.
The relative expressed their worry, claiming that Madonna “believes she is invincible” and “has been wearing herself thin over the past couple of months”.
The singer’s problem appears to be under control, according to Oseary’s update, but her schedule will need to be modified. We will need to put all commitments on hold, he stated, adding that this includes the tour. The musician is reportedly no longer receiving care in the intensive care unit.
The Celebration Tour, which the multi-award-winning singer was ready to launch, was scheduled to start on July 15 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her tour will be moved to later dates while she recovers.
Backstage photos of Madonna getting ready for her forthcoming tour were the last thing she posted on Instagram before the news broke. The post’s caption read, “The calm before the storm.”
As the singer recovers from this dangerous infection, we wish her the very best. Please join us in thinking and praying for Madonna as she recovers from illness!
