Jennifer Lopez, 54, shows off toned abs in low-rise drawstring pants and cropped sweatshirt as she runs errands with her kids in LA

Jennifer Lopez flashed her toned abs as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon — days after the release of her new documentary.

The singer, 54, rocked a cropped black sweatshirt with matching low-rise drawstring pants that exposed her midriff.

She strolled through the parking lot of a luxury shopping mall in a pair of comfy brown UGG boots.

Her honey-toned tresses looked freshly blown out and she had on a pair of large sunglasses from Otra.

Jennifer was decked out in shiny gold jewelry and she carried a $40,000 Hermès bag with her.

She was joined on the afternoon outing by her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.

She shares her kids with ex-husband and Latin superstar Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2014.

Jennifer, Max and Emme recently jetted off to Tokyo, Japan to celebrate their birthday in February.

Emme — who JLo previously revealed uses they/them pronouns — cut a casual figure in a baggy blue graphic T-shirt and dark denim shorts.

Emme had on large headphones and carried their cellphone with them as the family shopped together in LA.

Meanwhile, Max styled a white polo top with a zip-up jacket and plaid pajama pants.

Like his sibling, Max also tuned out the world around him with wireless earbuds.

Jennifer and her kids were joined by a large entourage that included several security guards.

Jennifer has proved herself to be a doting mom since welcoming her twins in 2008.

And last year, the A-list star spoke candidly about the ‘guilt’ she carries for any negative impact her fame has had on Max and Emme.

She noted that ‘being the child of famous parents is really not something that many people can understand, and I feel for them for that because they didn’t choose that.’

Speaking to Audacy, the Selena star revealed, ‘I haven’t talked to them a lot about this but we have just started – they have just started letting me know, like, how people treat them and do things like that.’

Jennifer — who in 2022 introduced Emme onstage with gender-neutral pronouns — also held forth about the difficulty of seeing her children be ‘judged’ by strangers.

She acknowledged that her celebrity is on the forefront of people’s minds even when they meet her teenage children.

‘So when they walk into the room, THAT’s what people are thinking about, they’re not seeing them for who they are,’ said she.

‘And I think that that has to be a really hard thing for them, so I would love to have been able to protect them from that.’

The Jenny From The Block hitmaker explained that for Max and Emme, ‘being judged by people that you don’t even know in a way is, I think, really difficult for them to kind of grow up and be themselves.’

She added: ‘It’s just like they know that there’s a lens on them, and that’s hard. Probably not very relatable thing to say, ’cause a lot of people don’t understand it. They’re like: ‘Okay, so you’re famous and your kids are blah, blah, blah,’ right?’

Jennifer touchingly reflected: ‘But it is, it’s hard for them I think. I did that to them. And so that, you know, again, like, we have this guilt as moms, it’s like what we do and what we brought into their lives.’

Jennifer gets candid about her own upbringing in her new documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which was released last week.

She lets fans see deep inside her inner turmoil she has battled since a child growing up in the Bronx.

Her biggest issue is as a middle child – she has two sisters, Leslie and Lynda – she did not get enough love, which caused her to turn into a very hard worker so she would get noticed.

‘I wasn’t the oldest and I wasn’t the youngest, I was in the middle,’ she says with regret.

And Jennifer also brought up it was hard having a ‘narcissistic’ mother who was ‘the life of the party’ and an absentee dad who worked all night and slept all day. He was employed as a computer technician.

Her parents Guadalupe Rodriguez and David Lopez did not appear in the documentary though they were seen in flashback photos.

It is surprising she would remark her mother is a narcissist – a personality disorder that is often viewed as unflattering – as she spends a lot of time with her.

Lopez has addressed her mother’s over-the-top personality before in a previous documentary, Halftime from 2022.

‘My mom is a super complicated woman and she carries a lot of baggage, she wanted us to be independent and never have to rely on a man,’ said Jennifer.

And the star also said that her mother beat her: ‘She did what she had to do to survive, and it made her strong, but it also made her tough.

‘She beat the s**t out of us.’

They also fought about Jenny going to college: ‘I didn’t want to go to college — I wanted to try dance full time. So she and I had a break,’ she told W magazine. ‘I started sleeping on the sofa in the dance studio. I was homeless, but I told her, “This is what I have to do.”‘

Jennifer appears to be close to her father David, who is divorced from Guadalupe and has remarried.

The documentary mostly delves into Jennifer’s love life — particularly her rekindled romance with now-husband Ben Affleck, 51.

The lovebirds reunited in 2021 after previously calling off their engagement 17 years ago in 2004.

They tied the knot in July 2022 in a Las Vegas wedding chapel before hosting an extravagant ceremony at Ben’s home in Georgia.

In the doc, it’s revealed that Ben kept his love letters from the singer throughout his marriage to Jennifer Garner, whom he married in 2005.
