Gwen Stefani Reveals Why Her and Blake Shelton’s New Year’s Plans Changed Last Minute

The Voice Coach will be ringing in 2024 with a very special performance, as will her husband.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s NYE plans
New Year’s is “different each year,” Stefani told Access, explaining that the family doesn’t have just one tradition. This year, for instance, Shelton will be in Music City, performing in the New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash special. And while Stefani originally planned to be watching her man, she’s now got her own gig booked.

“It’s funny because I was gonna be at his show, and then Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas,” she said in the same interview. At first, the No Doubt front woman explained, she was hesitant, but decided that since she and Shelton couldn’t be on the couch together, she might as well perform. “Last year I did Vegas and I was kinda like, remind me never to do Vegas again. Because you kinda just wanna not be the host. And then I was like, ‘ahh, I’m gonna do it. If you’re gonna be working then I’m gonna be working.’ I’m just gonna fly in and out. I’m looking forward to it.”
Gwen Stefani’s resolutions
The one and only “Hollaback Girl” also divulged her three resolutions for 2024, one for each area of her life. For music, she promised to “put out a record, finally.” For health and wellness, Stefani set an achievable (and honest) bar: “being more consistent…Trying to be balanced. I don’t know if I’m ever going to get there. I’m working on it constantly.”

And as for love, of course the only goal is to keep going. “Keep loving. Keep trying to get love and give. That’s what we do. A little exchange.”
But first, Christmas
Stefani and Shelton have certainly been getting in the Christmas spirit! On Instagram, the pop star showed off the ways the family is decorating their Oklahoma home for the yuletide, including setting up a wintry village, buying a massive tree and covering it in sparkly ornaments.
