Two months ago we heard the news that Paul Anderson, one of the actors starring in the series ‘Peaky Blinders‘, was fined for possession and consumption of drugs in London on December 26. Now, the New York Post publishes several photographs in which the artist is seen in a delicate state, an image that has set off alarms about his health and has provoked numerous reactions on social media.
In the photographs published by the aforementioned outlet we can see Paul Anderson wearing several jackets and eating a sandwich while walking down the street. In one of the snapshots the actor’s head is covered, although in others we can see his face, somewhat faded and with a lost expression. The New York Post article does not detail any description or add context and merely states that the artist was “dishevelled” and “unrecognisable”.
“He needs urgent help”
In the social media post of the New York Post, many users who have been concerned about the well-being of the ‘Peaky Blinders’ star.
“Don’t let the same thing happen to him as Whitney Houston. This man needs urgent help. where is his agent, family and friends? Will they show up on the day of his funeral?” can be read in the comments of X, formerly Twitter. “He needs rehab,” adds another.
It is inevitable to make certain parallels between Paul Anderson and his character in the series, Arthur Shelby, with an unstable character and who could be seen in some chapters with addictions to some substances. After his arrest last December 26, his lawyer, Moira MacFarlane, said that the artist was trying to “please the fans by getting into character” to justify the fact that he had tested positive for opiates and cocaine.
Peaky Blinders’ to be turned into a movie
Fans of the six-season ‘Peaky Blinders’ series are now awaiting the release of the movie about it. Anyway, from what we know so far, its arrival would not happen before the year 2025. Its creator, Steven Knight, has confirmed that the two main actors, Cillian Murphy, who is up for an Oscar Award for ‘Oppenheimer‘, and Paul Anderson, the protagonist of the New York Post report, will be in it.
