Al Roker shares health update nearly one year after suffering major health crisis
Nearly one year after Al Roker suffered a set of major health complications, the Today weatherman is sharing an update on his condition.
Roker, 69, told Entertainment Tonight he’s been “doing great,” and he owes most of the credit to his new granddaughter.
“I’m doing great, doing great. I tell you, the thing that’s kept me going is I’ve had a new granddaughter,” he said Tuesday.
The first-time grandfather said his granddaughter Sky is one of the best things that’s ever happened to him.
“You could love up on ’em and then you give them back… If I had known they were this much fun I would’ve had them first. It’s the best.”
Just recently Roker reported for grandpa-duty and babysat his 3-month-old granddaughter for the weekend.
Although he admitted to forgetting “how hard a 3+ month old is on your own,” the two still managed to have a wonderful time.
The proud grandfather shared a carousel of photos of his granddaughter enjoying lots of walks during what Roker called “the perfect weekend.”
“It’s been a while since I had this setup going on in the kitchen,” he wrote alongside a photo of baby bottles drying on his kitchen counter. “Good to know I can still do this. Like riding a bike. But, I get to give the bike back to the owners,” he joked.
We’re so glad to hear Al Roker is feeling so much better! And we couldn’t agree more that a lot of it has to do with having a new baby in the family.
